KY DOT CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, striping, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance on interstates and highways throughout the district daily.

NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES

Jefferson County Kentucky (Historic Districts) has 50 places on the National Register of Historic Places including 3 places of National significance and 5 places of Statewide significance. Significant places include First Street District, Old Louisville Residential District, Old Louisville Residential District (Boundary Increase), Anchorage Historic District and Audobon Park Historic District.

METRO COUNSEL DISTRICT 9 ANDREW OWEN

Councilman Andrew Owen represents the 9th District in Louisville, Kentucky. The District runs along the Frankfort Avenue/Shelbyville Road corridor from Mellwood Avenue to Marshall Drive and extends from Seneca and Cherokee Parks on the south to the Ohio River at the Louisville Water Tower on the north.   

METRO COUNSEL DISTRICT 16 SCOTT REED

Scott Reed is a native Kentuckian, a graduate of Waggener High School, and the University of Louisville. He is an executive with his family’s printing business, V.G. Reed & Sons Inc, a HubZone (SBA classification) certified, national printing/fulfillment company with an international client base in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, and financial industries.

LOUISVILLE METRO GOVERNMENT

Louisville Metro Government serves as the unified city-county government for Louisville, Kentucky. It oversees public services, economic development, public safety, and infrastructure. Formed in 2003 through city-county merger, it aims to improve efficiency and community engagement while supporting growth, equity, and quality of life for all Louisville residents.

UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE

The University of Kentucky’s Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, established in 1865, offers diverse programs in agriculture, environmental science, and community development. With over 3,000 students and 313 faculty members, the college emphasizes research, education, and outreach to enhance Kentucky’s agricultural and environmental sectors.

KENTUCKY OFFICE OF THE STATE ENTOMOLOGIST

Our office is responsible for the licensing of businesses and individuals that buy, sell, ship, or distribute nursery stock for commercial or monetary gain in Kentucky. This would include, but is not limited to, nurseries, garden centers, and landscapers. We conduct inspections of nurseries and assist nursery owner/managers with their pest problems.
